Q Mahlangu on intimidation at Natalspruit Hospital during strike

Gauteng Health and Social Development MEC Qedani Mahlangu has condemned the blockading of entrances to Natalspruit Hospital in Ekurhuleni by striking workers today. The MEC appealed to striking workers to refrain from intimidation and from preventing ambulances, doctors, nurses and patients from entering hospital premises denying patients access to much needed medical care. Q Mahlangu to attend memorial service of Pieter Wessels old age home departed residents, 5 Aug

Twenty two senior citizens who passed on when a fire broke out at Pieter Wessels old age home will be remembered in a memorial service tomorrow noon, Thursday, 5 August 2010, at Nigel Hall, Ekurhuleni.

Gauteng Health and Social Development MEC Qedani Mahlangu and Ekurhuleni Mayor, Ntombi Mekgwe will be attendance.

Tomorrow, Gauteng Health and Social Development MEC, Qedani Mahlangu will brief the media on the findings of the investigation into the death of the five premature babies at Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital on 18 May 2010.
